Got it all working only to find out that my machine has ISD1420 chip. Without actually checking this I spent the last few days following instructions from old blogs on how to make a circuit to record / playback these chips. I read a previous post where somebody asked about recording new audio for (i assume a different) elaut machine and it was suggested the sound chip was an ISD2560. I have it working with small toys and would really like to replace the audio (It says CANDY every time you win, and the jingle is incredibly annoying - disabled that now). After getting it all functional with the frankenstein of parts, it does not make sense to use this as a candy game. The claw does not appear to be the original (it is larger and did not fit - 3d printed an adaptor). The majority of the issues were simple fixes and either were loose wires, settings configured or, needed some new cogs 3d printed to get the crane to move. It appeared that the person who had it before me was attempting to repair / restore it but had given up.Īs I am completely new to all of this and it is just a project for my own home as a hobby I thought this would be a good distraction while hiding away during the pandemic. I purchased a broken Elaut Candy Man last year.
