You CANNOT split the signal with a regular Dish Pro Twin or Quad LNB.ĭish Pro 34 Switches and Dish Pro Plus 44 Dish Pro Plus LNB signal can be split when using DN Dual Tuners and a DN Signal Splitter.

Dish Pro Plus has a built in 3 way switch and one input which allows you to receive signal from two different satellites with the main LNB and add a third satellite by installing a variety of LNB/Dish combination. Your FTA receiver will not supply sufficient power for all three LNB's. This will only be an issue if you are running a third LNB. Power requirement for the Dish Pro Plus is slightly higher then the regular Dish Pro which may create the necessity to either keep a DN Receiver connected to port #1 of the LNB or to use a Power Insert. DISEqC Software requirements are the same for both LNBs. They work with most if not all FTA Receiver on the market today. They can be used to bring in the signal of any combination of two satellites provided they are less then 10 degrees apart. They both have a built in switch which allows for direct connection to the receiver. There is a big difference between Dish Pro LNB's and Dish Pro Plus. It is the setup and understanding of this equipment that give some people headaches.

Would I be able to feed the 2nd output of the DPP Twin into 1 of the 3 inputs of a DP34, then connect cable runs for rooms B & C to 2 of the 4 outputs of the DP34 to run the 3100s? I understand a DPP44 will work but it's also a lot more expensive.Posted on Thursday, J21:50 GMTDish Pro Twin or Quad & Dish Pro Plus Twinįirst things first - Dish Pro Equipment is very FTA Friendly and probably the easiest to set up. After reading your post however (you mention a DPP separator can NOT be used on two separate receivers), looks like I might need another switch. I originally intended to use the 2nd output of the DPP Twin & the 2nd separator to run each of 3100s in rooms B & C. I recently got a 9242 so I bought a DPP Twin Lnb and a pair of DPP separators on eBay so I wouldn't have to run another line to room A to feed the dual tuners of the 9242. I had 2 3100s in rooms B & C so I only used 2 of the cable runs (with SW21 switches).

They left the dish with the 2 dual output lnbs for 91 & 82 but took the switch (not sure what he was using).

Previous owner of my house had three runs of RG6 going to three different rooms (A+B+C).
